You arrive a few miles from your hometown at a Scrooge Bank branch. It’s Christmas Eve and it’s snowing pretty hard. The bank is closed, but you bet there’s more than a few stockings’ worth of cash inside. You activate your time control powers. The ability gives you plenty of time to realize you have no idea how to break into a bank. The doors and windows are locked. The glass in the windows is bulletproof. But slowing time causes the snow to suspend in mid-air, which is objectively cool to look at.

Try as you might, you can’t break into the bank. But you still have plenty of time to get home for Christmas with your family. While stolen money and jewels would’ve been a nice surprise gift, being able to slow down time and pick up the family cat before she pees on the sofa is truly the greatest gift of all.
